Best place ever. Quick, friendly, gorgeous office space and talented staff. Cleaning and experience so good I'm going back this week for a long overdue filling replacement on four teeth.
I went to Hancock dental for my first dental examination in a few years, as I was starting college in a few months. After the examination, I was unsurprised to find I had many cavities, but I was surprised by the cost it would take to get them all filled. $6500! They wanted to charge $350 for every mauler and $250 for every other tooth, regardless of severity. In many cases, they were just little black spots hardly larger then the tip of a pin. Later, after some research, I found that $350 was the absolute ceiling for the worst cavity you can get in a big city. I went ahead and sucked it up, paying $750 for three bottom front teeth. The fillings are terrible. Semi-transparent, with sharp edges on the back that occasionally cut my tongue, they look little better then the cavities did. Six months later, I told my sister I had got the cavities filled and she was surprised; it still looked like I had them.
You'll understand why I decided to change my dentist (in Blue Hill). A few weeks past, I got another examination. They're charging me a third of what Hancock Dental wanted to charge me. When I got three teeth done, they actually looked like natural teeth. Don't use Hancock Dental!
